Week 3: Blocked Poses

For Week 3 of Senior Portfolio, I worked on blocking and researching poses for the rigs 'voicing' Bill Cipher and Dipper Pines from Clip 1 using audio from Gravity Falls.

The scene I plan to depict for this scene starts with the 'Dragonoid' Bill entering the scene from behind Dipper, in a condescending and mocking way. So far, I have the starting walk cycle blocked out. I want to work a bit on the pacing of it by slowing it down and exaggerating the strides.

As for the rig embodying Dipper, I did switch rigs from what I had originally planned as there were issues with the controls of the other rig when both were loaded in the same scene. Using this Sam rig as Dipper, I want to have the first half of the scene with him leaning on the table, exhausted and sluggish. Then being surprised and annoyed at 'Bill' for his sudden appearance. I will continue on working on the body poses before starting the facial animation.
